Alfred M. Cohen, international president of B’nai B’rith, who a week ago celebrated the seventy-fifth anniversary of his birth, will be given a menorah—seven-branch candelabrum—in a special ceremony at Cincinnati today.
The menorah, case in brass, was designed for the occasion by Judith Gutman Quat of New York City. Inscribed in Hebrew characters on the seven branches are the seven cardinal principles of B’nai B’rith.
Judith Gutman Quat is a former scholarship student of the Art Students’ League. Her work has been exhibited at various local galleries.
