Plans for the sixth annual collection of gifts for the Hanukkah and Christmas seasons to be carried out by children up to the age of 18 in the United States and some 18 countries abroad were announced here today by the Committee on World Friendship among Children.
The Committee, assisted by the mayors of the capital and major cities of the countries involved, which includes Israel, will celebrate the sixth festival this year on December 15, between the Hanukkah and Christmas periods. In the last five years some 200,000 children have exchanged over 2,000,000 gifts an handpainted greeting cards.
