The College of Jewish Studies this week received its charter from the State of California as the California School of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, the Cincinnati and New York academic center of Reform Judaism.
The College is now authorized to grant degrees of Rabbi, Doctor of Divinity, Doctor of Jewish Theology, Doctor of Hebrew Letters, Doctor of Hebraic Studies, Doctor of Human Letters, Master of Hebrew Letters, Master of Jewish Education, Master of Sacred Music, Bachelor of Hebrew Letters, Bachelor of Jewish education and Bachelor of Sacred Music.
