The London press reports today that Lord Moyne, former colonial Secretary, will probably become the representative of the British Cabinet in the Middle East, where policies on Palestine are now being shaped. He will succeed British Minister of State Robert Casey, but will hold no ministerial rank, the report says.
A warning against allowing the forthcoming debate in Parliament on the White paper issue to stimulate pro-Arab and anti-Jewish sentiments was issued yesterday by News Malcolm, former colonial official. If two million Jews had been settled in Palestine before the war in accordance with the provisions of the mandate, England would have easily raised 200,000 loyal and eager fighters among them, Malcolm wrote in Reynolds News, a London newspaper.
