The Cabinet yesterday reaffirmed its decision of last week awarding a contract to the Columbia Broadcasting System to train Israeli personnel in setting up a national television network here, after Religious Affairs Minister Zerah Warhaftig, who was absent from the Cabinet session last week, challenged the decision.
Dr. Warhaftig objected to the expenses involved at this time in view of the fact that no decision has yet been made on whether to establish a general television network in Israel. Plans now in effect call for only an educational television network.
