Abraham Nissan, Israeli envoy to the Scandinavian countries, has signed an exchange of letters with the Finnish Foreign Minister providing for an extension of trade between Finland and Israel, it was reported here from Helsinki.
The agreement provides for an additional $1,000,000 trade, bringing this year’s total to $6,000,000. While in Helsinki, the Israel envoy attended the opening session of the annual congress of the Scandinavian Jewish Youth Union.
An Israeli police official has arrived in Stockholm to study Swedish penal methods and administration. He is Ram Salmon, director of the Israel Ministry of Police, who is making a two-month tour of Europe, studying prison methods and systems for possible adaptation to Israeli requirements.
