It was reliably learned here today that the Royal Commission of Inquiry has agreed to permit Vladimir Jabotinsky, leader of the New Zionist Organization, to testify before it at a public hearing in Jerusalem.
Whether this means that Palestine’s ban against entry of Mr. Jabotinsky will be lifted to enable him to testify could not be ascertained. At the Colonial Office, it was stated that this was a matter for decision by the Palestine Government alone.
It was learned that Mr. Jabotinsky expects to proceed to Palestine soon. A definite date for his departure has not been set.
(The Royal Commission announced in Jerusalem last week that it expects to conclude its sessions soon and scheduled departure for Jan. 12.)
