(Jewish Daily Bulletin)

A sub-committee consisting of Chairman Johson and Congressman Vincent of Michigan, Jenkins of Ohio and Rutherford of Georgia has been appointed to study and report to the House Immigration Committee on the bills submitted for reuniting separated families. The study will also include the bill recently passed by the Senate for allowing preference under the quota to lessen the hardships caused by the immigration law.

It is pointed out here that none of the Jewish Congressmen who have been fighting for a liberalization of the immigration law, was included on the committee.

A sub-committee headed by Congressman Schneider of Wisconsin was appointed to submit a report on the various bills for amending the naturalization law.

The House Immigration Committee is occupied with hearings on the bill to place Mexico and other countries of the Western Hemisphere within the quota.
