The Commission on the Status of Jewish War Orphans, which consists of the representatives of all major Anglo-Jewish communal organizations, decided at a meeting here to set up a subcommittee, headed by British Chief Rabbi Israel Brodie, to take action designed to bring about the return of the Finaly children.
The subcommittee will consider such action as: the launching of a newspaper campaign; the calling of a meeting of top Jewish religious leaders from all parts of the world for the purpose of issuing a joint statement en the case; the holding of a meeting of major world Jewish organizations for the same purpose; and the holding of a public pretest rally to be addressed by prominent Jews and non-Jews.
