A committee to investigate the economic condition of agriculturists and fiscal measures that the government should take in relation to them has been appointed by Sir John Chancellor, High Commissioner of Palestine, it was officially announced here today. The committee consists of W. J. Johnson, deputy treasurer of the Palestine government, R. E. H. Crosbie, assistant district commissioner for the Southern district and an area officer to be nominated by the district commissioner in whose district the committee will sit. The committee will have two secretaries, J. Gress and V. N. Levy, both treasury officials.
