Israel’s bid for association with the European Economic Community came up today at a meeting of the six member nations currently underway here but was deferred to a meeting of the Council of Ministers scheduled for an unspecified date following the New Year holiday. It was reported that almost all of the participants favored preferential treatment for Israel but agreed that the question required further study.
