I want to advise you, in this regard, that at the Eastern State Penitentiary, located in Philadelphia, Pa., about eight years ago a Jewish chapel was constructed and dedicated. This is now being renovated by the Jewish inmates at that institution with funds contributed by them.
The prison aid work at the Eastern State Penitentiary, as well as at the country prisons of Philadelphia, is being conducted by the L. O. B. B., District No. 3.
Yours very truly.
William Portner.
