A two-day conference of 40 Jewish communities in Western Canada concluded today after voting to ask the British Government to open Palestine to Jewish immigration and to facilitate the establishment of a Jewish Commonwealth there. Members of the provincial government and Jewish leaders, including Isaac Hamlin, national secretary of the “Gverkshaften Campaign,” addressed the conference. The delegates also voted to support the activities of the Histadruth in Palestine.
