An extensive study of the ways in which information can be used with more effect in improving attitudes and behavior in all group relations has been launched as the result of a grant by the National Conference of Christians and Jews to the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues to finance the preparatory work. The study is expected to take three years for completion, costing upward of $100,000.
Announcement of the project was made yesterday in a joint statement by Dr. Everett R. Clinchy, president of the National Conference, and Professor Otto Klineberg of Columbia University, secretary of the Society. The initial grant of the National Conference will make possible the first stage of the study, Dr. Clinchy said.
