The emergency session of the National Executive Committee of the American Jewish Congress will be held today at the Hotel New Yorker, it was announced by Joseph Tenenbaum, chairman of the committee. The meeting had been originally scheduled for August 16, and had been postponed pending the arrival of important reports from abroad on the German situation.
The session will take up a number of vital matters concerning the expansion of the program of defense and rehabilitation of German Jewry, in the light of developments in Germany and outside.
