The “Congress of Moslems living in Europe,” scheduled to open here today, has been canceled. Most of the communities invited declined to participate, alleging the date to be too advanced and insufficient representatives having been made for the congress.
The organizers of this congress, the Syrian Arab, Amir Shekib Arslan and Issan-el-Djadri, nevertheless hope to be able to convene the congress at a later date, perhaps next year.
