Sixty-three delegates to the World Zionist Congress will be sent from former “Congress Poland,” comprising the districts formerly under Russian rule, it was announced today. (These districts are Kielce, Lublin, Lodz, Polesia and Warsaw.)
The delegation compares with the 87 sent to the last congress in 1935. At that time 230,000 shekolim, the certificates entitling holders to vote for congress delegates, were sold, but this year the number dropped to 187,000.
