The House Judiciary Committee was expected today to take favorable action tomorrow on the new law liberalizing the Immigration Act, including a provision eliminating the national origins quota system. The latter practice, which has been attacked for years by Jewish groups and by representatives of other minority groups in the United States, has been in effect since 1924.
