Congressional leaders from both parties addressed some 2,000 pro-Israel activists on the steps of the U.S. Capitol. The activists, in Washington attending the annual policy conference of the American Israel Public Affairs committee, spent the day lobbying members of Congress to support Israel as the peace process advances, support foreign aid to Israel and contain Iran as it seeks to acquire weapons of mass destruction.
