Congressman Clarence J. MacLeod of this city in a statement issued recently declared that “American people look with disfavor upon any attempt to detract from or overthrow the policy of establishing a Jewish National Home in Palestine in accordance with the Balfour Declaration.”
Congressman MacLeod stated that unless “reliable assurances of good faith are forthcoming from the British government in the near future, the United States, as an interested party and one of the signatories to the Convention, will be justified in making formal representations to the MacDonald government.”
