The establishment of an American Jewish religious archive at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, which will be a source for historians delving into the background of Judaism’s development in the new world, was announced by Dr. Louis Finkelstein. chancellor of the Seminary. The archive will be under the direction of Dr. Moshe Davis, founder and co-director of the Seminary’s American Jewish History Center and head of the Institute of Contemporary Jewry at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
