Seattle’s first conservative synagogue was organized recently with P. Allen Rickles, young attorney, elected president. It was decided to begin services in the Fall. A rabbi and cantor are to be engaged. Though there is one reform synagogue, three Orthodox congregations and four Sephardic congregations, this is the first time that any definite attempt has been made for the formation of a Conservative congregation.
