Actual construction work on the new $10,000, 000 Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center began today as bulldozers started clearing a site for the erection of a nurses school, the first building to go up.
The second and third buildings to be erected will be an Outpatient Clinic and a Cancer Institute. The construction work was held up for the past seven months by a dispute between medical center officials and farmers from the nearby village of Katra who used part of the site for the growing of grapes and who originally refused to agree to the construction of a road through the grove.
