Construction of the Haifa port will probably be delayed for two years, according to rumors here, notwithstanding the fact that the bill authorizing the British Exchequer to guarantee the Palestine government loan has already been passed. It is stated that the funds which will be made available through the loan will be used for the improvement of the Jaffa port.
The plans for the construction of the Haifa harbor are regarded by the government as being insufficiently elaborated. British experts will probably arrive here shortly to investigate the situation.
