The local branch of Sears, Roebuck and Company which is headed by Lessing J. Rosenwald, eldest son of the late Jewish philanthropist, Julius Rosenwald, has contributed the sum of $50,000 to the $6,000,000 goal sought by the Welfare Federation in whose campaign is included that of the local Federation of Jewish Charities.
Mr. Rosenwald, who is chairman of the board of Sears, Roebuck and Company, is president of the Federation of Jewish Charities and a vice chairman of the campaign.
