The 39th annual convention of Moetzet Hapoalot–the Working Women’s Council of Israel–opened here last night with hundreds of delegates present, including Evelyn Kaplan of the United States.
Mrs. Beba Idelson, deputy in the Knesset and a leader of the organization, reported that there were 400 girls now receiving agricultural training and 800 were receiving vocational training in institutions operated by the organization. She added that some 2, 000 women are enrolled in a variety of courses offered by the council.
