A fund of $500,000 will be raised during the coming year for the organized Jewish workers of Palestine it was announced at the closing session of the convention of the Organized Jewish Workers in Palestine held in New York City.
The convention also issued a call to all union members to subscribe an hour’s work for Palestine. Plans are under way to mobilize 100,000 subscribers for the half million dollar fund. Nathan Straus, one of the speakers at the last session, received an ovation from the delegates. A message of greeting was received from William Green, president of the American Federation of Labor.
