On November 26 Patrolman Harry Abromovitz stood over the body of his buddy, John P. Monahan, shot to death by a criminal and swore before his comrades he would not rest until the murderer of his partner was captured.
Late Tuesday night Abromovitz and three other policemen in an exciting chase through Times Square captured Joseph Samsky who, it was said, readily confessed to having killed Monahan.
