A police bomb disposal expert was slightly wounded this morning when the second of two bombs exploded in the Petah Tikva vegetable market as he was investigating the first bomb blast. The first bomb went off under an empty vegetable stall. There were no casualties and only slight damage.
Some 10 minutes later, as the police bomb expert was examining the area, another bomb exploded in a pile of rubbish. The policeman was wounded in the leg but there were no other casualties and only slight damage. Police said that both bombs were planted by terrorists.
