Cornerstone ceremonies for a new Research Center and new College Hospital were held today at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. The two buildings, the Ullmann Research Center for the Health Sciences, and the Einstein College Hospital, will be completed at a cost of $35,000,000 on the college campus.
The new Research Center will house several major research institutes. This 12-story tower of research will include institutes of genetics, biophysics, molecular biology, cell biology, and blood and cancer research. There will also be special sections devoted to research in cardiology, environmental medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, rheumatology and metabolic diseases. The Center is scheduled to open in the Fall of this year.
