The cornerstone for a Sholem Aleichem House, to serve as a museum to perpetuate the memory of the great Yiddish humorist, will be laid in November on a plot in Tel Aviv donated by the municipality, it was announced here today.
Supporters in the United States have contributed $130,000 for the project. The plan was announced at a founding meeting for the project held today at the home of President Zalman Shazar, who was named honorary president.
