Correspondent of the J.T.A. learns that on Tuesday July 20th, Hans Herzl, before leaving Vienna for London, came to take leave of his friends Mr. Johann Kremenezky and his son Joseph. After a long and peaceful conversation, Hans remarked before departing, “By the way, it would be important not to withhold from you the fact that I was baptised yesterday” Johann Kremenezky, who was a life long friend of Dr. Herzl left the room in great excitement and refused to participate any longer in the conversation, while his son Joseph, engaged in a hot dispute with Hans, reproaching him for compromising the memory of his great father. Hans however answered politely but categorically, “I have meditated for a long time, have fought with myself, but it happened because of my conviction. It became certain to me that only the Catholic Church could save my soul. The peace of my soul is more important to me than the Zionist propoganda motives.
