A sensational and totally unexpected recantation of his anti-Semitism by Francois Coty, Paris parfumeur and newspaper publisher, has been received by the Jewish community of Geneva. In a telegram to the community, Coty asked that his message be read from the platform at the conference in session here preparatory to the Jewish world congress.

Coty, in his two Paris newspapers, Figaro and Ami du Peuple, has consistently attacked the Jews. He recently lost a libel suit in Paris brought against him by Franco-Jewish war veterans and was fined and compelled to publish the court verdict in the case in a dozen newspapers.
