A RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY RUMANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER VICTE ANTONESCU, ACCEPTING THE MANDATES COMMISSION’S REPORT ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF PALESTINE AND THE TRANSJORDAN IN 1936, WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED YESTERDAY BY THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS COUNCIL.
THE RESOLUTION INSTRUCTS THE LEAGUE’S SECRETARY GENERAL, JOSEPH AVENOL, TO COMMUNICATE THE REPORT TOGETHER WITH THE MANDATES COMMISSION’S OBSERVATIONS REGARDING IT TO GREAT BRITA WITH THE REQUEST THAT SHE TAKE THE ACTION ASKED BY THE COMMISSION.
THE MANDATES COMMISSION’S OBSERVATIONS DEAL WITH QUESTIONS OF ADMINISTRATION, INCLUDING TARIFF POLICY, A LAND SURVEY, EDUCATION AND JEWISH IMMIGRATION.
