The Council for Rescue of Jews from Poland, established by the Polish Government-in-Exile, officially opened its sessions tonight with a public meeting attended by prominent Jews. Adam Ciolkosz, Polish Socialist leader, was elected chairman of the Council. Engineer Anslem Reiss, Zionist Labor leader, was elected vice-chairman, and Dr. Emanuel Szerer, leader of the Jewish Socialist Bund, was named secretary. A budget for the rescue work of the Council will be adopted at its next meeting which is expected to take place within several days.
