The Council of Jewish Women has sent a special delegation to Cuba for the purpose of investigating the situation of the Jewish refugees there. In the last few weeks word has been received in this country of the serious condition of the Jewish immigrants who are stranded in Havana. The local Jewish population of Havana being a small one, and the immigrants being very numerous, a difficult situation has arisen.
The investigating delegation consists of Miss Cecelia Razovsky and Mrs. D. V. Shimberg, who will make a survey and report back to the Council of Jewish Women. During their stay in Havana they will organize local committees to aid in placing and taking care of the refugees, and outline a constructive program for carrying on the work.
