Full support of Yeshiva University’s fund drive to raise $5,000,000 for expansion of the plant and curriculum of the school was pledged today at the third annual meeting of the National Council of Organizations for Yeshiva University. Fifteen hundred delegates representing more than 500 Jewish groups attended.
In a message to the meeting, Professor Albert Einstein said, “I am convinced that Yeshiva University is of great importance for the preservation of Jewish tradition and for the deeper spiritualization of youth in general. It is my conviction that the promotion of a university embedded with Jewish intellectual traditions is of vital importance to American Jewry.”
