Hapoel Hamizrachi, the Jewish religious workers party, will be represented in the new local council of the 100-percent Druze village, Daliat El Carmel, near Haifa.
The representation will be via a member of one of the important Druze families, who was elected on a Hapoel Hamizrachi ticket with the help of 50 Druze villagers who work in the nearby Hapoel settlement, Nir Ezion.
The other eight places on the Daliat El Carmel Council were distributed among various Mapai lists. The right wing Herut party failed to get enough votes for representation.
