U.N. Palestine mediator Count Folke Bernadette has informed the United Nations that the Arab and Israel delegation who are now in Rhodes as consultants to assist him in drawing up peace proposals to the two belligerents will receive tomorrow the peace suggestions on which he and his staff worked all last week, it was disclosed bore today. The respective delegations will then take the mediator’s proposals back to their governments.
Yesterday Faris el Khouri, Syrian President of the U.N. Security, Council, turned down an Israeli request that a special session of the Council he called to consider the Egyptian breach of the truce last week. Bernadette has already informed the Council that he expects the Egyptian incident to be settled amicably.
