Spyro Kapitanos, captain of the Greek freighter Astypalea, loaded with Israeli cement, today refused an order by harbor authorities in Port Said to move his ship alongside the Danish freighter Inge Toft, detained since May 21, a cable from Cairo reported.
Shipping quarters said Kapitanos refused to move his ship, which has been detained by United Arab Republic authorities since last Friday, from the outer to the inner harbor except at UAR expense. The crew of the ship was barred from landing at Port Said and the vessel was not allowed to obtain supplies there, the Cairo report said.
