Croatia’s president agreed to back his country’s prosecution of alleged Nazi war criminals, according to the Jerusalem office of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. Stjepan Mesic, who made these comments in a meeting with Efraim Zuroff, an official with the Nazi-hunting group, also agreed to support a Holocaust education project that will be translated into Croatian for use in schools and cultural institutions throughout the country.
