A series of Jewish cultural forum meetings for high school students will be held beginning this afternoon under the auspices of the Hebrew Culture Council and Sanhedrin Council of high school clubs of Jewish interest, at Leventritt Hall, Tempel Emanu-el, 1 E. Sixty-fifth street.
The first speaker of the series will be Israel S. Chipkin, educational director of the Jewish Education Association; whose topic will be, “The Teaching of Hebrew in the Public High Schools.” Judah Lapson, director of the League of the Jewish Youth, will discuss “The Establishment of a High School for Jewish Studies.”
The Hebrew Culture Council and Sanhedrin represent a large number of Jewish culture clubs in the public high schools, and are sponsored by the League of the Jewish Youth.
The forum series will present prominent Jewish educators and leaders who will discuss topics of interest to Jewish high school students.
