ENACTMENT OF LEGISLATION THAT WOULD STRIKE A BLOW AT PRO-NAZI FORCES HERE WAS URGED UPON THE GOVERNMENT TODAY BY MORE THAN 100 MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH AFRICAN PARLIAMENT.

THE LEGISLATORS, AMONG WHOM NO NATIONALISTS WERE INCLUDED, ASKED SPECIFICALLY FOR A MEASURE PROHIBITING POLITICAL UNIFORMS AND FOR STRENGTHENING OF LAWS WITH REGARD TO RACE SLANDER.

IT IS UNDERSTOOD THERE IS LITTLE LIKELIHOOD THAT SUCH LEGISLATION WILL BE INTRODUCED AT THE FORTHCOMING SHORT SESSION OF PARLIAMENT.
