A New York Times dispatch from Praha said the Czech press described Mr. Kapras’s action as a step taken “within the framework of solving the whole Jewish problem.” Twenty Jewish professors in the German University were said to be affected by the suspension. Jewish teachers in Czech schools, it was stated, were not “at the moment” affected. The suspended professors will receive reduced pay during their period of suspension.

The press also foreshadowed similar action in hospitals and sanatoriums, declaring: “Our German fellow-citizens decline treatment from Jewish doctors. It is, therefore, necessary to solve the question of Jewish doctors in insurance societies and other social institutions.”
