THE AUTHORITIES TODAY LIFTED CURFEW IN JERUSALEM, WHICH HAD BEEN ENFORCED SINCE SUNDAY AS RESULT OF SANGUINARY ARAB-JEWISH CLASHES.

THE GOVERNMENT RECEIVED TWENTY CASES OF TEAR GAS FOR USE AGAINST MASS DEMONSTRATIONS.

A CLOUDBURST INUNDATED THE VILLAGE OF KALIA, BETWEEN JERUSALEM AND JERICHO, AND DAMAGED SECTIONS OF THE MAIN ROAD. NO CASUALTIES WERE REPORTED.
