Wilhelm Werner, a prominent Czech dramatist was today suspended from the Association of Authors for four years for having written anti-Semitic articles during the German occupation. Werner denied that he was an anti-Semite, and said that had written anti-Jewish articles under duress. He cited a play he had written about Tel Aviv as evidence of his friendly feelings towards Jews.
