Secretary of State John Foster Dulles told a bipartisan group of Congressional leaders today that the supply of Communist arms to Egypt might be discussed at the conference of foreign ministers which opens in Geneva on October 27. Sen. Thomas C. Hennings Jr., of Missouri; said Mr. Dulles had disclosed that he planned to bring up this issue under item three of the Geneva agenda pertaining to world trade.
(In Paris, Foreign Minister Antoine Pinay expressed approval of plans to raise the issue at Geneva. He was reported as planning to discuss the question Monday at a preliminary meeting with Mr. Dulles and Harold MacMillan, the British Foreign Secretary.
Mr. Dulles was to report today to the National Security Council on the Middle East situation and will report to the Cabinet tomorrow. His aide, George V. Allen, Assistant Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs, conferred today with Abba S. Eban, the Israel Ambassador, and Dr. Moussa Al-Shabandar, the Ambassador of Iraq. In Jerusalem, Edward B. Lawson, the American Ambassador, asked for and received an interview with Premier Moshe Sharett.
