Czech Jews Sell Synagogue Because of Poverty, Migration

The synagogue belonging to one of the oldest Jewish communities in Wischau in Czecho-Slovakia, has been sold and will be converted into a moving picture house. The community was compelled to sell its synagogue in view of the poverty of the congregation and the great migration from the village.
