The Czechoslovak Church Council is erecting a church on the site of a former synagogue at Strakonic, which was constructed in 1860 and was destroyed by the Nazis, it was reported here today from Prague. The Church Council has agreed to look after the Jewish cemetery on the site. Strakonic had a large Jewish population before the war, but few Jews survived the Nazi occupation.
