In a Slovak language broadcast from Prague, Jewish historians, writers, and other researchers, who visited Czechoslovakia from Israel, the United States and Austria, were charged with stealing documents from Czechoslovak archives. According to the broadcast several days ago, the Jewish researchers had gone to Czechoslovakia “under the pretext of research into the history of Czechoslovak Jewry.” but had taken away documents “proving cooperation between Zionist organizations and the Nazis.”

The broadcaster, Jiri Bohatka, also said that “other evidence on confidential relations between the gestapo and the Jewish Council of Elders in Prague and the Jewish Central Office for Slovakia was feloniously taken from the archives.”

Bohatka mentioned by name Livia Rothkirchen of Yad Vashem, who he attacked, however, not for stealing documents but for her study “Jews in Czechoslovakia published in New York in 1968. He rejected her assertion that Slovak anti-Semitism has been general and directed not only against Jews but also against the poor.
